On February 14, 2009, from 9 PM, Fabrica Club will host the FIRST ROMANIAN DARKFEST, a long-awaited event for the goth and darkwave communities in Romania.

It is, actually, the first time since Romanians adopted the traditional Western celebration of St. Valentine's that it can be celebrated differently.

VIVA MUSIC brings an alternative to music aficionados - both in the proper and figurative meanings - for celebrating this day.

FIRST ROMANIAN DARKFEST is dedicated to all those who have had their share of kitsch, values devoid of their meaning yet gaudily bedecked and varnished, and to all those who do not deem that a heart-shaped chocolate box or a song dedicated on TV are proper gifts. It is a premiere in that it diverts from the classical notion of a festival, and it also offers an alternative to music served in hip clubs, and ultimately a logical retort to a more than predictable avalanche of bad taste.

This time, on February 14, the role of Cupid is assumed by German artists. DAS ICH, IN STRICT CONFIDENCE and DIARY OF DREAMS are representative names on the darkwave and goth scenes, and they will clock in at Fabrica Club in order to grant you a never-encountered before event, a unique gift for all lovers who see the light from darkness and find their inner peace in the sound of synthesizers.
